I found an easy answer for the light and dark problem….which requires almost no work….just clone and copy a clip above the original and with the new clip selected go to modify > composite > add and suddenly your project is lighter but has the same quality….you can use opacity to adjust the brightness and make another copy if u want it still brighter….use subtract to make the file darker…

Thanks….also have some footage from the same shoot that was shot after dark….what’s the best way to lighten or darken to pieces of footage so that they match in brightness?

I wan to reduce the size of the photo icon that I have improted into the timeline so I can put text underneath it.

Also I used the zoom timline tool which zoomed out with one click and now I can not reverse what I did….how can I restore the timeline to normal?

i figured it out by going to the make a movie menu and clicking on 3 mbps…so it went from 8.2 GB to 72MG but it was hard to figure out as the user manual and show me how help tutorials are not very good and they tend to speak in sony vegas “language” for consumers and not professional video editors….

Yes, I tried it but sony vegas doesn’t recognized the disc…the open dialog box remains greyed out when I select it to import.

Thanks, so what should I convert them too?
And how do I do that?
I don’t know much about Sony Vegas…I’m an FCP guy…..but I’m using Sony Vegas as part of an internship with a film distributer…..
