AVI Unsupported
Posted by Sean Simms on February 18, 2010 at 2:49 amWhen I try to import AVI files into Sony Vegas it says that these files are unsupported. It’s not a problem with Quicktime. What can I do?

February 26, 2010 at 9:59 pmThe avi codec is XVID and GSPOT says that my computer can read those codecs….now what do I do next?

February 26, 2010 at 11:34 pmOK, your computer can read XVID files, but Vegas doen’t like them. It means that you will have to convert these XVID files before you import them into Vegas.

February 27, 2010 at 3:52 amThanks, so what should I convert them too?
And how do I do that?
I don’t know much about Sony Vegas…I’m an FCP guy…..but I’m using Sony Vegas as part of an internship with a film distributer….. -
