tiff files and sv text
Posted by Sean Simms on April 15, 2010 at 8:48 pmI have a tiff file that comes oot as a 2 to 1 ratio h to w on the sony vegas preview. I need to change it to stretch it all the way from top to bottom of the screen without distorting the pic.
Any suggestions?
Also, I have saved a bunch of text presets to the media generator and can’t find a way to delete them…John Rofrano replied 16 years, 1 month ago 2 Members · 5 Replies -

Any suggestions?I don’t understand. To stretch implies to distort. Perhaps you mean Crop? Open Pan/Crop and right-click the frame and select Match Output Aspect.
Also, I have saved a bunch of text presets to the media generator and can’t find a way to delete them…
Select the preset and press the red X icon to the right of the preset dropdown.

It’s the same dropdown menu that let you save the preset in the first place. Right here:

You can accomplish this with Pan/Crop tool or Track Motion tool. Pan/Crop will just resize the event. Track Motion will resize the whole track (and any other event on it)

You can zoom into the timeline with your scroll wheel on your mouse, or the down arrow key with NumLock off, or the +,- buttons on the bottom right of the horizontal timeline scrollbar. (there are more ways but those should do)
If you are referring to the fact that the Zoom tool made the tracks smaller, then just double-click the vertical scroll bar on the timeline and the track height will change back to normal. This is a toggle so you can easily go back and forth. Also double-clicking the bottom scroll bar will zoom the entire project into view and back.
