The file is the second to last in the group. All of the preceding files work fine but this one and the next are not working.

Tried ClipWrap and it crashes the app a few minutes into it. Thanks though.

I take that back. Toast spit out 1 min out of the 10 min clip. Still better than voltaichd.

tephen, I’m having the same issue today. I recall having an issue several months back but resolving it quickly (trashing pref’s etc.) but not today. It crashes everytime (over 7 times) I either select the AVCHD folder I want to transfer from or if I try to transfer from the card directly. Big pain!

  • as long as there’s no issues with delivering a progressive version I’m happy. DG has accepted my compressor encodes even though it’s not 4:2:2 chroma.

Chris, thank you very much for the helpful and practical info.

Too bad about Blackmagic. Do you know if it does a hardware down conversion with 1080p as opposed to 1080i?

well…that’s a good question. I’m outputting straight from the multibridge pro via HDMI to a 46″ Vizio LCD HD monitor. Up until the client complained I reasoned that it was the monitor and the lack of a proper NTSC monitor (which would ultimately reveal that it looked fine) But I guess I was wrong.

and of course the computer monitor looks great playing the SD.

Got an idea of what I need to do?

September 29, 2006 at 8:14 pm in reply to: FCP 5.1.1 not recognizing Sony HDV deck

Hi Tyler, I don’t have an answer for you, but since you say that you deal with alot of HDV with your G5 FCP online system, I was wondering if you could help me troubleshoot my system.

I am attempting to capture HDV from a Sony M25U for the first time using FCP 5.01. I can control the deck but there is no picture in the window and it captures black as well. I am in HDV easy setup 1080i 60i and the deck is as well.

    any ideas?

    thanks
