    FCP 5.1.1 not recognizing Sony HDV deck

    I recently upgraded to 5.1.1 with QT 7.1.2 on our Online Suite (2.5 G G5). We deal with a lot of HDV footage in our onlines and since the upgrade haven’t been able to get the deck to be recognized. Is this a bug that can be fixed with 5.1.2?

    Hi Tyler, I don’t have an answer for you, but since you say that you deal with alot of HDV with your G5 FCP online system, I was wondering if you could help me troubleshoot my system.

    I am attempting to capture HDV from a Sony M25U for the first time using FCP 5.01. I can control the deck but there is no picture in the window and it captures black as well. I am in HDV easy setup 1080i 60i and the deck is as well.

    any ideas?
