    I know it’s frustrating.

Get FCPX and transcode to ProRes, or get DaVinci Resolve Lite and do the same.

NOTE: Davinci Resolve Lite is NOT intuitive, at all.

Make sure your project settings align with your frame rate BEFORE doing anything else.

Also, make sure to check the “export as individual clips” box, as well as the “render audio” box.

    Enjoy.

  • Thanks Ian.

    How do you re-wrap?

    What menu is that under?

    Kindly,
    Scott

    David,

That TotalCode plugin is Windows only.

Not remotely helpful for those of us on a Mac.

Anyone with knowledge of how to successfully ingest or transcode footage from Sony F55 please post here.

A few notes on the XAVC workflow, because I am stuck as well.

:: DaVinci lite only exports 23.97 or 24, so if you record video at 30 or 60, your output will be out of sync.

:: Sony’s content browser does not export, anyone with knowledge to the contrary, please please do enlighten us all.

:: Premiere Pro 6.5 does not support this codec.

Anyone who has successfully shot with the Sony F5 or F55 and transcoded the native XAVC files to ProRes 422, PLEASE tell us how you did it.
