Thats a good idea. However, I forgot to mention that it is the AJA Io LA, which does not handle audio at all. I’ve taken a deeper look into the AJA Io, AJA Io LD and AJA Io HD, so I suppose those are some options to solve the issue.

The one catch with our AJA IO is that it is a bit fried, we’ve had it for a long time, and prior it was not the most reliable piece of equipment. This has me thinking maybe there is a problem with our specific piece of equipment.
So the need to invest in either another AJA IO or a different product to solve the issue seems to be looming.

That is very good to know.
I am not looking for a piece of equipment to run both softwares through, as I do know it is not out there. Currently Avid is only being used to export, so it’s a matter of re-upping FCP with the BetaCamSP deck, and eliminating having to take the extra steps of going through Avid to output that is my main objective.
