  • If you prefer not to use the built in tools in AECS6 you can always use the BG_Render script. Works great.

    If you have already tried to experiment with the different displacement map settings (channels and Luminosity) and are not getting results you could try to duplicate the Water footage (and turn the layer off) and boost up the contrast so the displacement effect is more drastic. If you are still not getting results you could also try applying the turbulent displace effect on your reflection and animate the evolution.

    Have you tried using a displacement map on the reflection to match the motion of the water?

    Thanks for your help. I will look into that. Quadro 4000 looks like it might be the one. I am on a Mac 3,1 and it looks to be compatible. Thanks again.

    Thank you for responding. I am thinking that it is a matter of my OS (snow leopard) or my graphics card. What graphics card would you recommend for my late 2008 model Mac Pro? I am currently using NVIDIA 8800 GT with 512 Mb. Do you think installing Lion would make a difference?
