Wanted to say this happens to me too. Resizing the window just a tiny bit makes them appear, but especially in the project window the scroll bars do not always draw even when they should. They simply aren’t there until I resize the window as mentioned before.

For reference I’m on a Mac Pro 2013 (Trash can) with Dual D500 GPUs and a dual display setup (2 1920×1200 displays, connected via thundebolt-DVI adapters).

First, thanks for the info. I never did confirm the model number.

BUT, I JUST looked at this thread the other day for the first time in YEARS, and here you are posting two days later?! That’s like the 3rd or 4th time that’s happened to me on the cow too… wonderfully creepy!

I love that this thread comes to life every couple months or so (or years sometimes). And that Dan Ebberts helped out! A few of the tips in here come in handy to this day so thanks all for helping!

Just a shot in the dark, but it is the Avid DNxHD codec? That’s a relatively common one that you wouldn’t have unless you installed it (or avid). I think you can still download it for free… try here: https://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=372311

Not the same issue, but the recent .1 AE update fixed all of the issues I was having with AIFF files (ram previews would be all over the place – I’d preview from the end or middle, but I’d get audio from the beginning).

Worth an update if you haven’t already anyway.

This is all very exciting!

Lots of talk about the GTX285/480/Quadro 4800…

But what about the “other” GPU? You have mentioned the GT120 as required for the ‘other’ card, but will other cards work at all? I have a GTX 285, but also an 8800GT that came with my mac pro (was an optional upgrade). Right now only the 285 is installed, but will the older (but I think more powerful) 8800 compare or would I need a new “secondary” GPU?

I was *hoping* that since the layers all seem to be copies of one another they’d point back to some ‘original’ but oh well.
