FYI: It has just been determined that items 1-3 on this list are false.
The camera will now come with a 16Gb card but the rest of the changes were cancelled by Sony.

I have successfully over-cranked with SxS-1 but according to my Sony reps they do not support it.
In fact, I have never had it fail, so I politely disagreed with them during our training. They maintained that this was the case..

It is possible that you have one of the new cheaper SxS cards that does not support overcranking.
Can you post a picture of the card?

haha.. it is not the kind of thing where you get rid of your current EX3 to buy the new one. However, if you are buying a new EX3, you should try and get the new version. In stock. Holla.
