from what i hear AE will only utilize up to 2gigs, being a 32bit app. i may be wrong though.

why not just create the alpha in Photoshop? Then export as targa file. This is the way we do it everyday.

Do you have your camera hooked via USB or firewire?
If USB, then i don’t think you can choose OHCI in deck config since OHCI is firewire.

xpress dv does not have that command. remember, it’s a stripped down version.

you can also place an in or out point where you want the clip to extend out to and then hit extend edit. i find it much faster.
