If you render correctly , respect the un-premultiplied mode and set it in Resolve it will work 90% decently
But yes, Smoke, AE, Fusion or Nuke yield better results as there is always a bit of the transparency edge showing.

You light correctly, you use proper lenses add a ton of CGI

Well, i am also royally confused as i am intact using three nvidia cards.
But maybe they are talking about GPUs ?
Or does the Titan count for two ?

Well, i have three GTX in the Cubix and a Q4000 as system card.
Under 10.9.5 I could access all three, with 10.10.4 only two of them.

Upload a screengrab of your ungraded picture, or a splittscreen in Resolve with the LUT applied and your mouse hovering over the Lut selector setting in the node graph.

In my world it is the responsibility on the DCP house to maintain specs.
You are working in rec709 which is a choice and a limitation of your projector i assume.
If you can set your monitoring equipment to P3 color space you can basically do the DCP yourself and it will be fine.
But you should not accept that “your levels’ are to high…
We are talking DCP her and not video color space.
It is on their plate and they have to do the proper scaling, that is what you are paying for.
If you are only in charge of the creative part you may want to deliver to a third party for technical inspection.
