Found the solution: Went into the Paning menue: Dialogue setting and then tweaking the the spacial environment adjuster till I get the sound I am looking for.
Very nice in X – a bit like Space Designer for Reverbs.

The moment you link both of the files as Stereo Pair, it gets a clear stereo feel. Try it.

Hi.Mark, nice to hear, there’s others who did the same WF.
I want to try your suggestion, only one thing is not clear to me: if I set my clip to Dual mono and not switch off the unwanted channel, but only set the pan to centre, I still hear the unwanted channel, right?
But I wanna kill the channel.

Hi Bret,

I know for sure it’s not in my head. And quality is the same: I was the DP back then and now, and recorded it same way.
Do once a test, I know it sound crazy, but there is a difference in those two ways.

Pfffff, solved it. After deleting the Preference Plists and several weird additional plists that were created, all is ok again.
It made me learn a major lesson: Not only not to modify files within the Event and Project folder, but not even importing (without alternating) any of the FCPX media files into other Apps.
