Hi Roland,

thanx a lot. In a week I will be in the theatre and yes, I will try all the Bulge, Bezier Warp & Distortion Compensation FXs of AE. As I can read from you guys, it should be possible to get rid of the worst part of the Distortion like that.
The moment I did it, and I have some experience with that matter, I will post my report on this here.

I know what you are saying – yes, there’s more abstract images, which are functioning a theatre lighting element or atmospheric ingredient-there it’s o.k. But for the Narrative Film part it would be defeinately nicer to have a clean undistorted picture.

I guess, I will try to De-Distort it with the Bulge Filter.

The AnyPlace seems great, but this is a theatre production in Jerusalem – not much budget involved!
The two softwares are great too, but windows based – I work with Mac. Is there any software for Mac system which does the same?

Thanx for the answer. It’s kind of what I thought. No, screen is not build yet – they need a slight curve. I just wonder, how to find out, what is the curve angle, that is still tolerable for the eye – when you project on it?

It’s what I thought – if you do not have the full version of Flip4Mac installed, it will not give you unlimited option for exporting WMV files.
Get Flip4Mac HD Full Version, then you’ll have no problems.

What do you mean, by cut in half? You do get the whole film in two pieces? How long is your film? Which version of AE do you use? What format you are exporting?

Maybe I was not clear enough about what will be done there:
There’s no more colour corrections. The Festival will ad some graphics and logo and it wiill be subtitled in AVID. Possibly also the title roller in the end.
A Quicktime should do it in this case, no?

Hi,

I would like to understand something – I thought Automatic Duck is good, e.g. when you export from FCP to AE and you wanna get all effects and Transitions and other information from one application into the other.
But what difference to I get in this case? AVID does recognize a Quicktime DV-Pal 25fps that comes from out FCP? So, what will be the problem then? When I export a Quicktime from FCP and import it to AE it’s also no problem.
What’s the difference in that case with AVID?
