That worked a treat, it took a few moments but as you said it loaded it all in to one folder AND autodetected the RAW plug-in.

    Mystery solved!

Thanks for the answer this was bothering me too.

It’s not a great fix though as I now have to do this for every clip rather than just be able to bring them all in at once.

It’s entirely possible though that I’m not using the correct workflow with getting the footage off the cards and then in to Media Composer…

Thanks for the reply. I was looking at those and (assuming I’m looking at the right thing) they seem suitable to be put in doorways.

A bit of a look around shows they can be modified, though perhaps a couple of C-stands (with the right brackets on the top) and a crossbar. Not sure what that bracket would be mind.

For those looking in to this thread in the future, I initially found this that might be useful for people looking for similar: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/980520-REG/impact_basic_varipole_support_system.html

Any word on this patch release yet?

I’m sure the book suggested that a plus symbol would appear, but never mind. It works, which is what I wanted/needed.

I made a new user and it appears to be working fine. The mistake I appear to have been making is that it’s a little different to Finder in that you need to hold ALT before you click and drag. Although the + symbol that the book I’m working through (official documentation) seems to suggest will appear doesn’t.

    Hi,

I’m trying to recreate this template / layout myself as a means to understand it all (and actually create some titles that I need).

I don’t understand the process of setting tab bars to create the “gutter”. I was wondering if you could shed some light on that or point me in the direction of something that could help.

I’m equipped with Word, Pages, and TextEdit if the software determines the method.

    Cheers

Ah, that’s what I was trying to avoid (although, we’re also trying to avoid tape so I guess we can’t have it both ways).

    Cheers for the response 🙂

November 27, 2009 at 12:56 pm in reply to: No picture on export/render of movie file

After a lot of playing around I finally cracked the issue. What had happened that the video had been sent from Premiere to After Effects by the student that was working on the footage, he then proceeded to paint on top of the sent sequence.

Now, I don’t fully understand how I would paint on top of this and leave this unticked in the future, but by setting “show guide layers” to “current settings” the video exported fine.

So this has been fine for getting this video exported; but in the future when I don’t want guide layers (or should anyone reading this not want guide layers) then I don’t know the answer – with that said, if this task had been done correctly (a better understanding of After Effects needed) then that might not be an issue.

Thanks to anyone that looked in with the aim of helping, and thanks to Dave for having a crack at it too.

    Cheers

Open GL isn’t on, and the footage is standard definition DV that was imported in Premiere with the DV PAL 48kHz preset. It’s currently in .avi format which I’m led to believe is more a “container” than a format, but I can’t seem to find more information in the video clip properties.

(thanks for all the help so far).
