    960×720 DVV Pro HD.

Stock answer #49 makes sense and is something I anticipate, but I think they look worse than that.

Maybe I’m just being too critical…

So that’s the best solution to this – to use some sort of third party software?

And, out of curiosity, what do you think the problem is? All the other clips transferred fine, except this one…Does it have something to do with the fact that it is a spanned clip??

Yup, that would’ve been the smart thing to do – didn’t think of it. Very sleep deprived right now.

    Andreas,
I sent you an XML file using yousendit – it was too big to attach to email.

    Thanks for the help,

    Andreas,

Thanks for the tool. I tried using it and unfortunately it only found one folder that was previously trashed and was irrelevant to the project. The rest of the clips and folders are all in their original location. The media and the reel names have not changed, nor have any of the clips names, for both the master clips and the sub clips. I verified this by re-importing a couple of master clips and their reel names were the same.

So the main problem is when I try and reconnect the subclips to their master clip, the correct master clip is grayed out. I uncheck the match media/reel names box, and manually reconnect it, bypassing the warning that says the media start/end times do not match. So the sub clip references the correct master clip, but now the media start and end points are completely off and unchangeable (not to mention, if they were, it would be a pain to change thousands of media start/end times).

Trying to reconnect the master clip to itself first (and subclips after) doesn’t work, and I have the same problem with the fact that it is grayed out when I try and select it, so I have to uncheck the match media/reel names box again.

    Thanks

Yeah, that was the first thing that I did – trash my preferences again. But still nothing. I click on the FCP icon, in the dock and nothing happens. It doesn’t even try to open. Same if I click on any project files.

I really have no idea what to do…

    Thank You.

    Tried that. Any other ideas?

So is there any consensus here? Is it better to halve the frame rate – even if there’s a lot of action/motion?
And is it necessary to manually put in keyframes, or can you just leave that on auto?
And what about data rate? How high can you go?

What are you setting your key frames to?

    Mark,
Thanks for the advice. I do actually have control over where they post their videos, that’s predetermined in a contract, but I guess that’s irrelevant?

Can you (or anyone else) suggest any needle-drop libraries? I’ve done some pretty extensive google searches and haven’t some up with anything that great…

Could you also suggest some looping technology/software??

    Thanks.
