  • I found this program that actually brings back the functionality. It works GREAT! It’s kinda odd to get used to though. I liked just being able to (Shift + then type the number in FCP7)

Now I have to (fn + / then type number)

  • Trim with numeric keypad entry…

This no longer works with the fn + j. I just switched from FCP7, and typing in a value to nudge a clip is a shortcut I use constantly.

The apple keyboard doesn’t have a number pad. Any other solution?

I am also in the process of switching over, but we do a lot of animations with PSD files. In FCP7, I would bring in the PSD and it can open as a sequence (with each layer retaining it’s original layer size). But in Premiere CC, I bring it in as a sequence but each layer is now the size of the whole PSD.

    eg.
My 1920×1080 PSD is a talking head with eyebrows and eyes and mouth. I have a layer for eyebrows, eyes and mouth all separate. When I bring in to FCP7, all those layers have the bounding box just around each element. In Premiere, each layer is 1920×1080 and the bounding box is the size of the whole PSD.

Is there a way to import as sequence while retaining layer sizes? I know AE can do it.

Also is there a way to adjust the anchor point similar to using the pan behind too in AE? I want to move the anchor point without moving my layer (so I can just keyframe rotation).

    thanks

I think I got it figured out. The client went back to their original timeline, and it they cropped out a little more of the background at the top.

upon re-compress, the blue line was gone!

Although it is still strange that the blue lines did not show up in the exported quicktime.
