Thanks for the tips. I ended up buying an external DVD burner. Works great and solved the problem.

You are right. I changed from -R to +R media and it seems to be working now. Good grief. It’s irritiating because I specifically ASKED at the place where I bought the burner if this would be an issue….Thanks so much for the help.
