I figured it out, you have to create a new version on the clip you wish to edit outside a remote grade.

I had this issue and spent all afternoon figuring out what the culprit was.
I couldn’t preview my videos in quicktime or import them into AE. They played fine in other softwares. All i had to do was download the appropriate codecs from apple and all worked fine afterwards.

  • I had the same issue, half of my clips had danger stripes when i imported my XML from Resolve. All i had to do was replace the clips with the media stripes with the clips from the bin and wallaaa. It worked fine afterwards. I can see how this can be a issue when you have tons of clips and have to do this manually. Anyone find out why some clips come in with these stripes from Resolve?

I got it to work, apparently it needs to be set to Data 4-1019 and not Auto. Video didn’t work either. Can someone shine some light as to why it needs to be set on this setting and not auto or video? Differences?

I have a different issue. For some reason when i import an XML, it is a few frames ahead of what it should be. Therefore my offline doesn’t match. When i bring it back to my NLE it is identical as to when i exported. Has anyone encountered this?

  • Thanks for the response. But I solved it after trying many different approaches. You simply have to use a batch rename program and add prefixes to your file names. For example 000000 rename to LG_01_00000 and so forth. That way Resolve won’t get confused.

  • I believe the 00000 is the first DNG file in each of the clips DNG sequence, although it is a movie clip and i can preview it, the file name is 00000
