I have been wanting to do this piece for a couple years. I did it for the Kids and said, Hey this is about the best demo reel I have ever had.

Sometimes honesty is the best approach. Explain to your client, what you just wrote. Explain to them that you create your budget based on the time it takes to do a project and that this seemingly simple change would mean you spending additional time in post.

March 16, 2017 at 4:15 pm in reply to: How to budget a Cooking Show ?

    Robert:
Most of the Food Network/Travel Channel Food shows airing in Primetime run in the 50k to 150k range. I have done several 5 to 10 minute pilots for around $10,000 to $15,000. Similar production value, less the cost of a celebrity host. This is generally shooting 2 Fs7’s and a dslr on a Gimbal and maybe a go pro or 2, add to that an Audio guy.

My SEO is terrible. I have a website, but am almost never found through it.

Dave all is converted to Pro Rez. I trashed Preferences and that seemed to do the trick

One of the coolest things in Sports Editing to do was NFL Projects because their footage was so incredible. However, if they continue with the same DI process, it should be an interesting transition for them.
