Fusion 8 looks like more of a 3D application.

I just want a simple motion graphics, like AE.

Perhaps Boris RED is the alternative. Is Boris a plugin for Vegas?

I don’t know, I’ve been fighting it for a long time, but maybe I’m just going to have to give in and move to a Mac. There just seems to be so many more options there.

I’m just going to wait and see how serious the guys at Magix are about Vegas. I HOPE they really make it a stellar product with professional tools integrated within.

    Thank you, Shinra!

That’s how you do it. I couldn’t remember.

I’ll eventually have to get PluralEyes I suppose.

    OK. I figured it out.

I had selected the Turn On/Off Auto Preview Play to turn it on so that all I had to do was single-click a file to play it. When I have that option turned on, I can’t click within the Trimmer Window.

When I deselected that option, so now I have to double-click a file to play it within the Trimmer, I can then click within the Trimmer window.

Sounds like something MAGIX will hopefully fix.

That’s excactly what I’m looking for!

And the price is WAY better than RX!

    Thanks, Steve.

Are you finding the Acon product to be as good as RX? I agree, the RX just seems too expensive, so if the Acon does as good of a good, and also does the same thing, I’m in!

Also, is there a way with the Acon to de-echo a sound clip? I recently recorded someone for her day spa and I recorded her in her lobby. Unfortunately, the lobby is quite echo-y. I’d like to remove that echo-y portion if possible.

    Thanks.

To use in Vegas, I’m not going to need the ones with alpha channels, am I?

    This is WONDERFUL news!!!

I was just coming to this forum to share the email I received earlier today. It reads:

    Hey,

As you may already know, Sony Creative Software sells Vegas Pro (and other applications) to MAGIX Software

We believe that this is good news for all Vegas Pro users!

MAGIX promises to support all current users of the Sony Creative Software products being acquired.

In a press release announcing the acquisition, Magix CEO, Klaus Schmidt, said, “These products from Sony Creative Software are the perfect addition to our portfolio,” adding that the goal is to release updated versions of Vegas Pro and Movie Studio later this year.

    Kind regards,
    Vegasaur.com

Now, John, is there someplace on the MAGIX website we can go to give our input on what we’d like to see in the upcoming release?

Or, do YOU have their ear? If so, can we forward things on to you to pass along to the developers at MAGIX?

Thanks for sharing this awesome news! I was just about ready to fall out of love with SVP and move to FCPX, but I think I’ll stick around!

I don’t know if anyone else knows of this page, but if you want to provide suggestions for SVP, including suggestions for version 14 (hopefully there’s gonna be one!), you can go here:

I hope they do something like buying a fixer-upper: totally gut the thing and start from scratch.

IF done right, they could create a major contender.
