Sorry, I don’t get it. What does a blond girl singing have to do with the EX-3, Nano and Red Rock. Couldn’t this have been shot with anything? Not trying to be rude here just a little confused. Great music video though!

You should be able to turn it off in the menu but I can’t remember which heading it is under, maybe the lens section.

The camera should never repeat clip names. It automaticly advances one number with each shot. As to the comments about the BPAV folder for archiving I had never heard about what has been said here so I will take it under advisment. I never have worked with someone else on an editing project. So my workflow was to copy to two drives so I had a backup. Having the option to take my clips to another system has never crossed my mind as I do all my own editing. Maybe that will change over time though. Thanks for the heads up.

You could try using the EX for close shots and the HDV for wide angle. It will still look good once it is on DVD and unless your client is VERY picky they won’t know the difference.

I never even use Clip Browser. I just transfer staight from the cards to my hard drives using XD CAM Transfer. Then it is ready to use immediately without having to go look for it in the BPAV folders. This may not work for everyone but it works great for me. At least consider it. Good luck.

This may sound obvious but are you sure your depth of field isn’t so deep that you can’t see a change? When the lens is wide it is hard to see any change in focus because everything is in focus from close to far if you have good light.

We just have to hope he knows what he is talking about. He might just be trying to sell his cameras over Sony. Just a thought.

I am wondering if the adapter plays a part in this. The color issue is not consistant. I ran an extensive test with time lapse and only had media errors at and above 45 fps. I even got about 10 sec. at 60 fps before the error. The clip was still just fine up to the error message. It just stopped recording when the error occured. When I pressed “record” again it made a new clip like normal.

Good question. I have heard that red is possibley bad. However, mine is red and in the advertisement that came with the card it shows a picture of all the cards they make and they are ALL red regardless of type and size. My test was to run the card until full and then do a series of short shots. No problems yet but have not tested frame rate yet for under and over cranking.
