Create a new timeline and drop a clip onto it without choosing a setup first. FC will ask you if you want to match the sequence to the clip. Click on “yes” and see if that helps.

Get the EX-1 if you can afford it. I use the EX-3 and it is much more versatile in its use than some of the others. Having an Iris ring on the lens is a big help as is the focus ring with stops at each end of the range. The viewfinder is superb and overall I think you will like the handling of the -1 better as well.

You should be able to solve the problem by creating a new sequence and then just dropping a clip onto it. You will get a message asking you if you want the sequence to match the clip. Choose yes and it will change it for you.

I think that price is to high considering the time on camera. Also, you will need a good tripod to work effectively so be careful with that. I use a Sachtler FSB 6 and it works great but if they are just offering a basic one be careful. Good luck.

That should not be a problem. How much are they asking for it and what is its condition? Are they including any extras?

Looks like the cost will be $1995 but don’t know release date yet.

Checkout flolight.com and take a look at the LED lights. They are good and also cheaper and smaller than flourecents. I have two of them and they work great for interviews.

The footage is brought in the same as always. We use XDCAM Transfer to bring it in and it edits natively with no problems at all. I just put the SXS card in the slot of my MacBook Pro and import to what ever folder I want and then start editing. Easy as pie!

I shoot with the EX-3 which is very similar to the EX-1. It does a great job on auto except for auto white balance. It is terrible with that but setting manual white is easy and once you understand camera profiles you can make profiles for each of the normal white balance temps. I have four, one set for outdoor, one for indoor, one for cloudy and one for shade. Then I can just switch to the profile I need and shoot the rest on auto normally. However shooting with manual iris is easy and works better than auto in some situations.
I would definiately get the EX-1 if you can afford it. It takes great video and even works OK with green screen. Good luck.
