Yes, it is installed. I can use it with just linking a single clip over to it but not a sequence. This is the first time I have used it and it was installed as a part of the Production Premium Suite.

This is the first time I have tried to use it. I installed from one download for all components. I am just coming over from FCP so I like what I see except for a few minor problems.

Yes, but after I click on “Edit” the “Edit in Audition” part is greyed out and I can’t click on it.

Oh yeah, if it is only Vimeo or Youtube don’t even think about converting it. Native works great for that. Also, for what its worth even if you use some color correction like the Color Corrector 3 Way filter you will be fine with native. I have used moderate color correction, title from Motion with filters and multi cam with no problems. In my opinion converting is not worth the trouble with no gain in picture quality.

Unless you are making a movie that will be shown on a large screen just edit the native footage. I have used my EX-3 for everything including green screen work with no conversion and it looked fine. You will not notice a difference by converting to another codec unless you need lots of fx work or massive color grading as mentioned in earlier posts.

OK, I don’t know what the “shy” icon is. The collapse track arrow does not do anything, I get the error either way. Is this icon in the track header or somewhere else?

The PC version has more options most notably the use of lots of CUDA enabled cards from NVIDIA. If you have a good Windows computer you might consider asking for a return for the Windows version. There will be some that consider this advice wrong but from my perspective as an Apple MacBook Pro and Windows owner I prefer the Windows setup.
