Can’t export to Audition
Posted by Ron Pestes on November 19, 2011 at 12:21 amI have a sequence open and have it active. But if I try to send it to Audition the Audition option is greyed out. Why can’t I access it?

If you have Prod Premium it should talk to one another, it may not if you have installed separate PPro and Audition Serials.

November 19, 2011 at 4:05 pmThis is the first time I have tried to use it. I installed from one download for all components. I am just coming over from FCP so I like what I see except for a few minor problems.

November 19, 2011 at 9:28 pmIs Audition even installed? Can you bring it up and it runs properly?

November 20, 2011 at 5:01 amYes, it is installed. I can use it with just linking a single clip over to it but not a sequence. This is the first time I have used it and it was installed as a part of the Production Premium Suite.

Ron, it would have been helpful if you had stated you were trying to send a nested sequence into Audition instead of the ambiguous description you used in your initial post.
You can’t do that in Premiere yet. You’ll have to export the audio from the sequence, open it in Audition, and apply your effects. Clunky, but doable.

November 20, 2011 at 5:04 pmI am not sending a nested sequence. Where did you get that idea? It is just a sequence from the timeline that I have been working on.

My apologies. This sounded like you were trying to send it audio from a nested sequence.
Can you explain exactly what it is you’re clicking on? Are you trying to select a bunch of clips in the sequence to export?

November 20, 2011 at 5:31 pmI have tried two ways. I highlight the sequence in the project window and click on “edit” then go down to the edit in Audition option or I make sure the timeline is active and do the same thing. Both ways the option to send to Audition is greyed out.
