-I am getting HDCAM tapes that supposedly would be shot in 1080p. I presume to just dig it uncompressed 8 bit and edit uncpress 8 bit and then compressor to mpg2 ts? Correct?

– I am still finding out whether they’re shooting 24 or 30….? What’s the big difference on my end for FCP?

-Been told that they want it on a dvd to be loaded into a in-store loop… project is only 3-5 minutes.

After further inspection… it seems that you were right on… the upper two pins were bent!
I’ve bent them back successfully and it seems I’m back in business. I’ve sent an HDsdi signal from FCP and it is reading it well. Thanks for all of your help, everybody.

Has anyone out there in cowland connect a adw-f500 dvcam deck to m100hd 10.1.4? If it’s worked in the past, then I have something wrong with my board.

Timecode. Yes. of coarse. bnc to bnc. easy. As a backup, I can also sync them to time of day.

Yes. Shooting 29.97.

It seems a waste to edit in dvcpro when all that I need to do is dig the selects and edit with other hi rez animations….

So I am to summize that everybody that works with HDCAM, onlines with 8 or 10 bit uncompressed?
