Thank you Tom, but the fact is that both clips are very diferent (regarding contrast / black level) played by the same player (Vegas Pro preview window) and (obviouslly) seen at the same monitor!
So what explain this fact, except for some missing set up? -
I`ve been having proportionaly the same amount of problems as you (crashes / error reports) with Vegas 9 and 10, as well as with the Neo files causing a lot of them.
I tried Premiere Pro 5.5 and, despite not being so user friendly as Vegas, seems to be a rock solid software.
I`ll probably move to Premiere. -
Thank you Ann
I`m new to Premiere (coming from buggy Vegas Pro last versions).
So I will look for this stretch tool. -
Thank you Jeff.
But I was trying to fade out a freeze frame from the end of a slowed down moving clip.
Best regards -
Thank you
In fact I decreased the speed to 1% – freeze frame.
In this case, dissolve also didn`t work, but I found out if I nest the clip it works. -
Thank you very much Ken. I`ll try it.

“flickering and weird artifacts”, exctly. That`s what I`m getting with QT Pro. Thank you.

Thank you John
I tried QT Pro but the resulting rendered file always shows unstable colors in some clips.
I also tried Sony AVC (HD 1920X1080 23,98) but get a error message, error that is not determined (so I don`t know why).
I can make the file with template Blue Ray 1920X1080 24p – 16 mbps, but I`m afraid there is no broadcast quality, as well as with main concept at 80Mbps.
Is there a quality free download converter software? -
I`ve had very serious problems trying to master my 90`documentary.
I get crashes in Vegas 10d everytime I try to open the project and increase timeline area to edit it. The project has Cineform (Neoscene or Neo) + Sony MXF(35mbits/s)+JPEG photo codecs. Vegas 9e doesn`show this behavior so frequently, but stops render randomly along the process.
With both versions I can`t render the full project. There are always a failure.
I thought, based in other`s opinions, that was the system I`m using – Windows 7 Professional (64bits), Intel dual core 2 – 3Gz processor, Intel motherboard, 6GB RAM – that was not enough, despite attendind the minimum system requirements of both Sony Vegas and Cineform.
But the same kind o problems happened lately with much powerful systems I tried, with 8GZ RAM,Phenon 4 cores processor etc.
My (and that from people that tried to help me with their systems) conclusion is that Vegas Pro 9 and mainly Pro 10d are very buggy and not appropriated to professional use, at least with long form projects. -
