Effect not working
Posted by Ronaldo German on September 19, 2011 at 12:18 pmI can not figure out how I can apply a fade out (opacity) in the end of a clip I slowed down (slow motion). The effect do not work, despite I can see the keyframes (opacity) correctly in the timeline.

September 19, 2011 at 2:28 pmHi Ronaldo,
I don’t know why the Opacity settings would fail, but you can always just drop a Dissolve transition onto the end of the clip

In fact I decreased the speed to 1% – freeze frame.
In this case, dissolve also didn`t work, but I found out if I nest the clip it works. -

September 19, 2011 at 5:37 pmIf a freeze frame is what you want, may I suggest you simply create one rather than messing with speed changes that bring about other issues.
Just click the “camera” icon below the Program Monitor window to create a still image of the currently displayed frame. That still image can then be imported and used in the timeline sequence. It can be dragged to any length, and effects and transitions applied without issues or workarounds needed.
Thanks

But I was trying to fade out a freeze frame from the end of a slowed down moving clip.

September 19, 2011 at 7:56 pmCut of the last frame of the slowing down clip.
Make a Hold Frame and stretch it with the stretch tool.
Add a dissolve or keyframe the opacity.———————————————–

I`m new to Premiere (coming from buggy Vegas Pro last versions).
So I will look for this stretch tool.
