As I already wrote in earlier thread, I get crashes in Vegas 10d everytime I try to open and increase timeline area with a 90`documentary project with Cineform (Neoscene or Neo) + Sony MXF + JPEG photo codecs (35mbits/s).
Vegas 9e doesn`show this behavior, but stops render randomly along the process.
But with both versions I can`t render the full project. There are always a failure.
The most often is one or two or some black frames that apear RAMDOMLY ALONG THE RENDERED FILE, independently which codec I chose to render to. And this occurs when I split the timeline to render it in 23`parts because I can`t render the full project.
Other times, again ramdomly, the render stops in a specific frame of the timeline. If I repeat the render, it will stop in the same frame.
If I change this event in timeline (time, do a transition, etc) it won`t stop in this frame again, but can choose another one or introduce black frames.
I don`t know what to do, because I`ve tried everything I could.
    Pure Kafka!
I `m fed up with Vegas, and I`ve been working exclusively with it sinse version 3.
    Windows 7 Professional
    Intel dual core 2 – 3Gherz processor
    Intel motherboard
    6GB RAM

“As I already wrote in earlier thread,”

Under what name? This is your first post here.

Everything you describe could be a memory or a driver issue. Vegas 10 uses more computer resources than Version 9 and it appears to make more calls to routines in the video drivers. Your computer was already not working properly since Version 9 “stops render randomly along the process”, then it’s no surprise that Version 10 is having more problems.

Your PC was broken before you installed Version 10.

Run memtest and prime95 stress-test. (Both are free and easily found via Google). Then run DriverDetective(DriversHQ.com). I don’t know if DriversHQ has a free version. I bought the one-year subscription and it’s kept my PC out of trouble.

    Thank you Stephen
You are correct. It`s my first post here.
I`m far from being a techy, so I didn`figure out what did you mean with “Your PC was broken before you installed Version 10”, because it was installed together with Windows 7 Pro, a new system.
I`ll ask for help with the mentioned tests.
    Regards

You said: “Vegas 9e doesn`show this behavior, but stops render randomly along the process.”

If this is a new system, then how did you experience this on Version 9? Your post sounded like you had problems with Version 9 and upgraded to Version 10, hoping that this would somehow fix your PC.
