But those of us in San Luis Obispo County, California know that Ben Franklin invented the Ben Franklin Sandwich Shop in SLOtown and which has therefore become his greatest claim to fame.

Adolfo is correct but sometimes when using the Cow’s search engine, the less you use in your searches, the better. A simple “Pleasantville” will get you more threads than “Pleasantville Effect” because many people don’t call it that.

Also, do not forget to use the archives and set the date range as we do not automatically search all of the Cow. This, as if every search was calling every post, it would slow down the site and it’s not necessary every time a search is made.

Look for Liquify if memory serves me well. I haven’t used Mr. Mercury in a while and if I remember correctly, they changed its name. I do not know what comes in the standard or Pro versions and so I do not know if you have it or not. Tim Kurkoski can probably tell you exactly what’s in each version. (I think he had the list of plug-ins tattooed on his chest or something.)

I think that we will be in early enough to get together on Sunday evening, Aanarav. Email Kathlyn for our cell numbers. Keep in mind that we only use our cells when we are on the road and never use them when we are here in Cambria (cell service is terrible here).

We are staying at the Flamingo, btw. In my opinion, it has reasonably good food which is more than I can say for most of the hotels in Las Vegas. Most have good food only in select restaurants with the big price tags but their average restaurants are horrible. The Flamingo has food that is edible and doesn’t all taste like it just came out of a can. It’s one of the reasons that we always use it for the Cow Leaders Breakfast.

My first thought would be to try Mr. Mercury. Set a keyframe at the beginning of the animation that has the look you want to start with as far as getting your blobby kind of chocolatey-looking thing going and then go to the last frame of your animation where you want it to be gone leaving your image the way you would like to be.

Tweak to taste.

Add sugar, if needed.

Enjoy hot.

To avoid these issues in the future, make your critical renders into exporting numerical sequence renders instead of exporting a movie. This way, if it crashes, you have every frame right up to the one where it crashed. Not only will it give you the security of knowing your work is there but you will also have an audit trail to follow to isolate where the issue occurs that is causing your problem.
