And as I have mentioned before on this topic: I’ve been given a bunch of these over the years and I have yet to play one of them. I once asked some people I know if they had ever received them. They had. I asked how many they had played. Like me, they hadn’t even played one of them.

Paper isn’t perfect and neither are PDFs. But at least when I get one, I can see what it is quickly and make a decision as to its relevance to me. Quick, easy and biodegradable. You can’t say that for a wallet-sized CD or DVD.

We like things placid for the most part. As Kathlyn and I like to joke: “Cows are herbivores. Carnivores make ’em nervous.” We like honest and straightforward advice and answers but there really is no reason to insult people — well, most of the time. ;o)

Best regards and have a great new year,

Please use the search engine as this subject has been covered in detail and I suspect that many here are probably a little worn out from repeating themselves.

Use the “Advanced” search option and try looking up the words MacBook, MacTel, and Intel in the After Effects forum using the “View All Active Posts” in the date range pulldown menu. Those three words will keep you busy for a while.

[tony salgado] “Granted smaller markets have tight budgets but I can’t comprehend why anyone would buy a higher end HD camera package and treat it like they are still shooting betacam. Maybe the HVX-200 would have been a more suitable fit.”

I would agree with Nick Gardner that this kind of “advice” is nothing more than snide, condescending soap-boxing that does no one any good.

Please keep this kind of stuff off the forums, Tony.

[Nick Gardner] “To The moderators – If you must ban me, go ahead. If you guys can’t keep schmucks like Tony from acting like 1st graders, I don’t want to be here.”

    Nick,

Just got off the phone with your doctor and he said to tell you: “Take a deep breath, man. Slow down and go sing Christmas carols or something…”

For a guy who wants to be the arbiter of who should be banned or not, you’ve got a pretty over-the-top attitude yourself. Kathlyn and I have been VERY busy — her, trying to run the whole site by herself, while I finish the new issue of the magazine that goes to press on Tuesday. Sorry that we are not available to jump at your beck and call. Kathlyn just forwarded me this link as she’s way too nice to tell you that you are being every bit the jerk that you accuse Tony of being. Me, I am not as nice as Kathlyn…

So in the spirit of the season: Go sing Christmas corals or something…

Either take a BIG deep breath, calm down and cut the ugliness or get out of here, Scott. Permanently.

    Understand???

    Hi Steven,

It’s an honor to have you popping into the Cow. I remember well your Bluescreening page back in the mid-90s and it was easily the best one on the Net. I can only imagine the incredible number of hits it’s taken over the years as I have seen it pointed to far too many times to count over the years.

Thanks for joining the Cow and incase you are not aware of it, we have a free magazine and if you swing by https://www.creativecowmagazine.net and sign up in the new couple of days, you will be in on time to get a free mailed copy of the new one we are finishing up right now.

    Best regards,

And also since 75% of the people that visit the Cow do so on PCs, it just makes sense to use a format like Flash which is on most every PC and Mac — unlike Quicktime which is only on just a percentage of PCs.

    Best regards,
