Sorry if I am unable to make this understandable. My issue is withe the timeline sorting. I have some projects where I have 20 or so timelines open. I create a new timeline and it goes at the end of the others. Once I quite AE and them come back to the project, AE has re-sorted my open timelines into alphabetical order and the last timeline I created is no longer at the end of the list. How can I turn this off? My brain does not work in alphabetical order…

    Thanks,

    Jeremy

Are you talking in the project window ??? Or on the top bar of the timeline window ? If it is in the project window, then just use folders and give the folders numbers to keep your listing in the order you want….You could also add a number to the beginning of the comps name….

No way around that. This is a known limitation in AE 7. Just like Mark Harvey said, control the order of your comps manually by giving them a prefix.

Either take a BIG deep breath, calm down and cut the ugliness or get out of here, Scott. Permanently.

    Understand???

That Sucks… I was hopeing there was a preference that had AE Alphabetizing my open comps for me. I just wanted the last comp that I was working on to be at the end of the open comps… not buried in 20 other open comps. Oh well… I’ll just have to learn my ABC’s so I can find my comps! Thanks for helping figure out this issue. I’ll quite looking for that pref to turn off now!
