Thank you so much that’s exactly what I was thinking.
Do you know the dimensions of a 1:85 mask on a 1920 X 1080 Project? Or about how many pixels I have to
top and bottom for a that ratio.

    Thanks again.
    Much appreciated.

    Cheers!

  • Yes I dragged and dropped so that the same specs would be on the sequence and even when I play it in QuickTime it reads 25fps but plays in slow motion.

  • Thanks for your response. So I’ve since learned that it was shot with an Alexa Mini and when I import the footage it says 2944 X 2160 however the frame rate already reads 25fps. I’m baffled at how this footage is 25 but plays back in slow motion. Do I just need to put in in the sequence and ramp up the speed to 200? To make it playback at regular speed? Help!

  • Okay so I’ve just received the footage. They shot with an Alexa Mini and when I import the footage into premiere the footage was shot at 2944 x 2160 at 25fps but it’s playing back in slow motion and they need it in 1080 25fps Apple Pro ResLt not in slow motion. I’m baffled by how it can be in slow motion if the footage reads 25fps.

Is the only way to bring it into a sequence and ramp up the speed at 200 and export?

  • Thanks for your response. I believe it’s interlaced because it was shit 1080/50.
I am told that is most likely interlaced but I am not sure.

Would you be able to tell m both methods while I get more information.

I don’t know what would be the easier way or if there is a way to do it in mpeg streamclip or premiere or in another editing software

    Hi Ivan,

I have several clips that I need to transcode from 50p to 25p without making them slow-motion. What would be the best way to accomplish that. The editor wants them in ProRes LT but wants to keep the speed and like I meantioned doesn’t want them in slow motion.

Thanks for your time and I hope to hear from you or anyone who can help soon.

Thanks Alex, That thread helped me a lot. I hope it goes as smoothly as possible.

    Best,

  • Hi Shane,

Just started working on Premiere and encountered this problem when trying to export for Sound Mixer.
Is there an alternative method to achieve multi-cam editing with three different audio tracks other than nesting?

Don’t want to start off using bad habits 😉

    Thanks!

Thanks for your suggestion. I’ll try that.

Do you think that’s better than recompressing the sequence using media manager?
