Hi Shane,
thanks for reply. Already inside Shake some of the clips had been deleted by some unknown bug. So the mess already has happened.
The question is now to recover the deleted Final Cut movie files (no Quicktime conversions).

The same to us. After upgrading final cut to 5.02 and tiger to 1.42 it runs but only with the native 10bit 1080 codec of Apple.

The Blackmagic 10bit uncompressed codec must be buggy in some way, because when I removed the codec in the library/quicktime folder and worked with the native 10bit uncompressed from Apple, all was ok.

Hi Eric,
so as a conclusion it means finally:
If I want to save all possible quality out of originally HDV, – I have to use at least 10 bit uncompressed 1080i in conjunction with a Blackmagic Decklink HD card and a fast disk array like the Apple Xserve Raid, – the conventional, classical and professional way for HD-postproduction.
For us it is an important matter of decision, because we are at the beginning of the post of a large documentary filmed with HDV and we are very interested in conserving all possible resources of this “poor mans HD-format”. I
