Until Maxon improves on their feature-set in Cinema 4D Lite, I suggest that you look to learning/using Blender for your 3D needs.

For AE users, there is the built-in Ray-tracer, Element 3D, Zaxwerks and Mettle.

I suggest that you post at the COW’s AE Expressions Forum and ask if someone is available to take on this task on a paid basis. There are certainly areas where automation, via scripts, is possible.

    Good Luck

Use the recommended settings on this page – https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?hl=en

Take note that at bitrate settings higher than 15MBPs, your video files will look great but they may not playback smoothly on your machine. However, after uploading to youtube, which forces another level of compression, your video will playback smoothly and at the highest possible quality – hopefully.

  • I am assuming that upon rendering in PPro (after keying etc in AE) that the video, your timeline, plays perfectly well. The issue is likely the bitrate setting of your export from PPro. 5-15 MBPs is what most well-built systems will play back comfortably, ie in realtime.

If you are exporting to youtube and you have chosen a very high bitrate, in excess of the numbers I stated above, then they will likely not play back smoothly, or in realtime. However, once uploaded to youtube, your file will be re-compressed to suit youtube’s bandwidth/datarate requirements for your video; based on your video resolution and youtube subscription/membership status.

If I were to do this, I would start with Text Layers and convert them to Shape Layers. With Shape Layers, I can morph between shapes to create the character transitions. Some planning is of course required to ascertain which shape morphs etc.

  • Walter’s given you a direction using Adjustment Lights. You should also consider using your precomp (note the singularity) as an Environment Layer.

It’s not a CODEC issue. IF you had such an issue, the symptoms would be an inability to open/view a video file. Rather, I see the issue as one being related to bandwidth/datarate of your H264 video and the high fps setting of the original file.

Try recording at 30fps or even 25 fps. When converting to H264 for delivery, follow the recommendations from youtube – https://www.streamingmedia.com/Articles/Editorial/Featured-Articles/Encoding-for-YouTube-How-to-Get-the-Best-Results-83876.aspx

December 24, 2013 at 11:50 pm in reply to: Plexus – Different Layers with sprites

[anifsa vladimir] “Ive done everything and have text appearing, thank you, but i cant get all of it to appear..”

That’s a limitation of Plexus (and its sprite feature). You can’t specifically dictate which comes first, second etc nor can you dictate which sprite appears where etc. Of course you can switch the timeline position of the sprites in the sprite precomp AFTER you have set things up so that you can more or less dictate the position and appearance of the sprites but it’s a workaround and not something that is controllable within Plexus.

Your issue of not having all the sprites appear is one that is trickier, if not impossible, to solve. You can try massaging the sprite comp such that those that are not appearing occur more than once in the sprite precomp. This may or may not work as other sprites that now appear may not appear after the massaging.

The Mosaic effect should also accomplish this and also allow for tweaking.
