If it’s a whitescreen issue with QT then it means that you don’t have the adrenalin CODEC. I suggest you post your Q in the Avid forum plus perform a search at the AVID site.

    Good luck

Invigorator does beautiful gold text and other bits. Unfortunately, it doesn’t access AE’s built-in Text Animation Presets. There’s good and bad either way you look at it.

For gold-like text, look at a post I made a few days ago that has a few Animation Preset Freebies. There’s a preset that creates a metallic texture. To put your alchemy thoughts to practice; switch on the Tint plugin to add color to the texture to turn it gold.

Your map has to use the colors specified. I’d suggest that you convert the map to a grayscale image and then use a color correction plugin to tighthen the colours to black and white – no grays. Your map tells Shatter how to break up the image – no inbetween values (grayscale).

HTH and if it doesn’t; I’m not a real artist. 😉

[Y.D.] “Let me rephrase that, I would like to know if mpeg 2 rendered from uncompressed tga sequence files are as good as quicktime movie (animation codec) compressed (converted) to mpeg 2 for DVD output to play on a standalone player.”

That still sounds like a Q more appropriate for the DVD Authoring forum. 😉
Actually, alot depends on the quality settings you provide for the movie when you use the Animation CODEC. The said CODEC is only lossless qith a quality setting of 100. Anything less, theoretically results in some qualitative loss from the original content.

Uncompressed TGA’s are good, which is why broadcastGEMs uses them. 🙂 Being uncompressed, they’re definitely better than the Animation (with a quality setting of less than 100).

Lots of possibilities – Particular, Particle Illusion, or you could check Bill O’Neil’s very cool tutorial on shadows which includes a precomp using one of the CC plugins to create a smoke.

Many possible answers. Your best bet is to go to either COW’s Vegas Forum or our DVD Authoring Forum.
