Thanks for the replies. I’m going to poke around a bit more before I dive in.
I have been playing with the stand alone Particle Illusion program.
I can’t figure out what the proper render format is in Particle Illusion to get it to appear as an alpha channel though. Any suggestions?
I’ve also tried in Vegas to go to the properties of the event and then “media” and choose Alpha but that doesn’t seem to work either.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve never changed the default setting and am wondering if it causes issues, then why would they have it as a default. Is there a setting somewhere where it can be disabled without going into each project and changing it?
    Thanks

Another thing to try is to eliminate or try another wipe just to see if it will render. Maybe that wipe doesn’t like it when an event is stretched.

I’ve had this problem a long time ago and the only way I got around it was to select a very short portion of the even and render it and then put those rendered events together on the timeline.
By doing this I often came up to the spot in that short render that was the problem which I then either corrected or changed in a way that solved it.

    Hi Steve,
I installed Voukoder but I get this message when I open vegas. So I don’t know what I’m suppose to do next. The file I downloaded and installed was called “vegas-connector-0.5.1.msi. I didn’t see any other files available to download on the Voukoder site so I’m baffled.

Also when I do get it working, where does do these render choices appear? I’m assuming they are included within the normal Vegas rendering choices. Is that correct?
    Thanks Steve,
    Roger

    Thanks Steve,
Unfortunately I can’t uninstall all the software that 17 can’t use because I still have to use v.14 for our PBS show updates. Mainly Boris BCC doesn’t work in V.17
