AFAIK, there are no such plug-ins/scripts aviable since no scripts can be used in Premiere Pro

Good to know for the next project is that if you create a bin called let´s say Audio all you have to do to force the audio files into that bin when importing is to select that bin before you import. If you select a bin and import anything it will end up in the bin that were selected. It´s not what you want, but by starting a project with creating those bins it is easier to force the right files into them. In the end you will save time.

The issues with the Media Browser´s lack of keyboard support is one of the main to why i never use Media Browser. Too much fiddling around for nothing imo. I always use File > Import and can use the default OS keyboard shortcuts in the Import dialog.

Regarding relinking media:
Let´s say that you want to relink ten files. Instead of right clicking and link each file, just select all ten files and right click once to relink the files in one go. The same goes for Bins, just right click and Link all media in the bin at once.

The Link feature in Premiere Pro is often smart enough to know that if all files are located in the same folder/folders as before selecting all files and pointing to the first file is enough to link up the rest of the files and thus making re-linking the files fast. If the source files are scattered all over the hard drive or on several hard drives it can be more challening.

It would be great with OS choices in the survey and maybe hardware version. Iow, Mac OSX version/Windows version, version on the hardware so one can see if a Mac Pro from 2009 is worse/better than a Mac Pro from 2014 when it comes to chrashes. It would be helpful to see which OS is most prone to issues, without starting any heated debate regading Mac vs PC. And quaetions such as how much RAM is installed would be welcome as well? How often do you save? And questions about any patterns such as “when i use codex X it chrashes more often than when i use codec Y and with codec Z it never chrashes.”.

Go to the Sequence menu and un-check Selection Follows Playhead.

This gets activated when you use the Color workspace and sometimes (too often…) it is never resets back to not follow the playhead when one change the workspace from Color to anything else.

Instead of double clicking on the clip, press F on the keyboard to perform a Match Frame. This works here and i can freely do anything to the clip in the Source without affecting the clip on the Timeline.

Personally i would have saved the originals no matter what. All edit suites will be able to open your H.264 files in the future but can you open up Adobe encoded CineForm files in ten years in non-Adobe applications? Most software playes cannot even playback Adobe encoded CineForm files today. Adobe native CineForm files are “locked” to Adobe software, that´s the dangerous thing about it.

Even if you plan to stay in the Adobe world forever i think saving the originals, H.264, is a no brainer.

If the left and right channel content were different, then they would not cancel one another out since they would not be exact opposites.
In short: Wrong. The difference we are talking about here is milliseconds and that´s why it is easy to get issues caused by out of phase audio. Out of phase occur even if the audio is not 100% inverted.

Recording a concert in stereo can sometimes be tricky due to this very issue. Or, recoring anything in stereo is tricky. It´s not an issue invented out of the blue.
