Great Test Paul. I have been making some tests of my own, especially ever since Adobe deprecated the 32-bit Codecs.
I am on Windows and so far the best result quality/size I found were these:
Delivery
RGB Graphics – AfterCodecs ProResHQ
RGBA Graphics – After Codecs ProRes4444
RGB Video – DNxHD/HR HQX 10bit
RGBA Video – now I know to try Cineform ☺Digital Intermediate – DPX Sequence

oh James Bond. why didn’t you say so?
actually the most efficient way is probably using trim path and a stroke.
create a path with the pen tool, use stroke and round caps and set animation for:
end 0.1% (keyframe) until 100% (keyframe) – that will be the stroke drawing.
then set animation to the start parameter – 0% (keyframe) to 99.9% (keyframe)
you could also pull this off with several other ways, but this to me looks like the easiest way.

[David Mac] “and now , how to trim it for transorm it to circle like Trim Path? start to end”
not sure exactly what you mean. trim path works best for stroke and not a fill. so you can leave the stroke color and add a trim path and see if that’s what you want
[David Mac] “2. and how to resize it from Right to left ?”

May 26, 2018 at 2:04 pm in reply to: How to use a Glow Effect and make sure that it’s color is independent from it’s source image?Ae’s Glow effect has options to determine the color of the glow:

it’s quite limited though. you might want to try plugins to achieve a better glow. like this: https://aescripts.com/real-glow/

[Filip Stillerska] “Why does the “Raw” tracker exist, and how is it better than the “Transform”-tracker?”
it’s sole purpose is for order’s sake – for the user to mark this tracker as “Raw” meaning he is not using it by applying it to null or the footage, but by copy pasting or expressions. think of it as a visibility aid and nothing more. the tracking information itself is exactly the same as “transform” or “stabilize”. it’s just disabling the option to do anything with it through the tracker panel itself.
essentially, all tracker types are “Raw” until you hit apply.

It’s related to parallal lines remaining parallel. Here’s a demonstration:

you can also gather information about what Skew means in the tracking help files:

May 25, 2018 at 7:11 pm in reply to: Motion Sketch audio and Cache Before Playback still broken? Any fix?Unfortunately audio playback while using motion sketch (and also puppet) recording is broken since CC2015. You could try to voice your vote using Adobe wishform. I tried asking a year ago.
As for caching before playback – it does work but it also plays back the footage as it caches the frames. This way you are making sure the 2nd pass will be real time. Like Walter, I use the first pass to evaluate errors frame by frame, then the 2nd pass gives me the real time playback.

don’t crop screenshots. I was looking for information about your project, not that I didn’t believe you when you said you had many masks. I want to see what exactly are you trying to do so that maybe I could offer a workflow that’s better for you. in any case, you cant connect multiple masks in Ae. you can copy them to illustrator and join them there if that makes sense…
