Great news.
I’ll get the DeckLink SDI for a start, and later move to a better setup.Thank you for being so open with this information.

Hi Luke.
Thanks for the answer.
I am not interested in using the Multibridge for monitoring, that was just a test I did because they have one at work. I am not interested in using a 2K output. You clearly state that the MultiBridge might not be the best option because it doesn’t have support and might not work with future Resolve versions.
Do you mean the same for the DeckLink SDI card?
Thanks,
Rodrigo.—

Good. Do you know if the “Decklink HD” is any of the links I posted? Or is it a discontinued model? Or what?
Thanks,
Rodrigo.—

Wow, thanks Luke.
At the studio we have a Multibridge I/O box (which happens to work with Resolve), and a friend of mine has a Dell U2410 which has HDMI input. I will try to evaluate that setup (comparing it visually to a JVC broadcast monitor through component HD).
If that doesn’t work, I’ll think of the HDlink possibility, which I find more expensive… Except I get an older HDlink with DVI output? What do you think about that option? Thanks again,
Rodrigo.P.S: I insist with the shortcut questions! Thanks.

Darin,
My question is if Resolve is able to show the graded image on the second display (like Iridas Speedgrade, Apple Color and Assimilate Scratch), or if it will require a Decklink to display the image. Thanks,
Rodrigo.—

I know of post houses that use well-built Hackintoshes, not for saving $$ but for having workstations that perform even better that the best Mac-Pro (using server motherboards which can have more PCIe slots).

I got a GTX480 and am waiting for the drivers. (Hackintosh here).
Not sure if I’ll wait or simply sell it and get a 285.

I also use a G13, have it since before buying the Wave.
When I got the Wave I was so crazy about it that I left the G13 apart, but when I got used to the Wave I noticed that there were some functions that I wanted to have always there, no matter the room I am in (using Color here).
As the Wave software let you choose the functions foe every room, then I used the Wave buttons for room-specific functions, and the G13’s keys for “always-there” functions (like rooms, grade toggle, keying, saving, etc).
Great peripheral 😀How does the Wave work in Resolve? Are there “rooms” which change the panel’s functionality?
Are there many keyboard-mappable actions?Rodrigo.

[Sascha Haber] “I would assume its around three times as fast.”
At least here in Argentina, it is also three times more expensive 😉
