I only tried it once but wasn’t of any use to me because I needed a new timecode for every clip, not a continuous timecode, AND my footage was all silent 🙁
I’m sorry but I have no idea of what could be happening there.

Some people seem to love getting angry. I don’t 🙂

I understand that using Compressor is the best option for adding a tc track that starts in 00.00.00.00 to every clip.
    You can use this app
    https://www.videotoolshed.com/product/42/qtchange
calles QTChange, which does exactly that: adding a continuous TC track to quicktime files.

    😐
    Thanks!

  • P2, yes.
I can import MXF but cannot make a working EDL from Premiere.
I decided to export to TIFF from Premiere, and then grade it in Color.

    Thanks,
    Rodrigo

I am having the same problem. Is there any solution for this?
Or another program (more specific) for doing the same?

    Thanks,
    Rodrigo

  • I am sure that all the clips are 25fps and the project is 25fps. I did another project a time ago, which was also 25fps and had the same problem. It was tortuous for the operator/colorist to re edit every shot in Scratch.
The EDL has some timecodes like (xx:xx:xx:)26 or more than 25.
I am using the Mac version of Premiere,… I’ll ask my friend to export an EDL in his computer.

I want to use many secondaries, masks, trackings and things like that. Unfortunately I don’t have experience with AfterEffects or Color Finesse to be able to do that quickly.

    Thanks,
    Rodrigo

  • Thanks for the answer Jon.
I am very used to Color and Scratch (which I cannot use now because I will do this grading at home).
This grading has to be done in a short time, and there are specific things that I need to do with Color and I don’t know if I’ll be able to do them with Color Finesse (because of its tools and also because of my knowledge).
Apart from that, I want to give a chance to Premiere Pro CS4 before saying that it’s not a professional application. I cannot believe I am not able to export a simple EDL.

    Regards,
    Rodrigo
