Yep I’m aware of the focus factor, just picked up a bit of a clip(s) where the pattern was more obvious. I thought it was an IS lens but I’m almost sure now that is my sigma 70-300..slow, no IS..

Thanks for the comment… I got a bit worry when I saw those horizontal lines on the second clip.. But figured that under those conditions and that ISO it had to be “normal”..

    Hi Daniel,

Nope didn’t use any PSD generated buttons as I had the slow experience before. Simply used the template buttons as this was suppose to be a quick project. argh..

    Thanks

Yep… I’m almost certain at this point that the DSLR trough USB will just not mount… Still worth to ask of anyone has been able to make it work..

Yep I have seen that one, and I have make the required changes to the plugin in oder to (in theory) work with the T2i/550d. Still no luck.

If I connect via usb/miniusb cable my EX-1 the 2 cards on the camera pop up on my desktop as untitled (1 and 2) If i connect the same way my DSLR I get nothing. Therefore the Log and transfer shows nothing at all.

Just a thought, you can get a Firewire to USB cable and hook up the camera straight to the Computer, FCP should see the camera.

I’m guessing that if I can do that with the EX-1, you should be able to do it too.

  • Elissa,

Indeed, a Macbook Pro will make your life a lot easier for this matter. Consider an external HD anyways, you will probably run out of space fast, that will down the performance of the computer.

And as Steve say if you go that way, be sure you get a laptop with a firewire 400/800 connector.

Lightroom will run nicer too! (I’m guessing you are using it for the photography?)

    Hope I’m being helpfull..

  • I will say grab your macbook (I hope macbookpro?) get to the store and check which jacks do you have on it. Is hard with mac laptops to say what it is, changes with each generation, model, etc.

Hope this helps, I’ve been stuck myself for a while with a laptop that wasnt exactly what I need it and now im stuck with an Imac that isn’t either what I would like to have but lets me work on my Videographer to be projects.

By the way, Jerry I love your signature.

  • I believe a lacie HD is a good option too if your budget is limited, As I understand any HD that runs at 7200 rpm’s and works with Firewire 400/800 should be good. At least to get out of the woods.
