I know it should be simple like that.
My problem is I do something wrong because It doesn’t work for me.

I don’t know to set a button command. that is my problem, I am studying the logic but I can’t do it correctly.

I try to set a chapter command few frames before finish the movie to link it to the main menu. So, If I press skip chapter key on my remote control, I will go to the main menu and the next movie still lock before enter the new 4 digit codes by a keypad.

May I see an example with that kind of command??

    thank you,
    Regards,

    Rocio

  • Thank you, Bill.

I actually use DVDLab Pro2 software.
I have read some Scenarist tutorial to understand the logic. Because I find that one more clear than the DVDLab Pro tutorial.

Due to work issues I need to use DVDLab Pro2 to make the DVD Authoring.

    Thank you for your advice.

    Regard,
    Rocio

Let me explain how the project is because I am afraid that I would need to change something else.

I have a VMG Menu and two VTS Titles (Root Menues)

In the VMG there are two buttons. One of them links to VTS 1 (Root menu)and the other one links to VTS 2 (Root Menu).

In each VTS there are 6 movies about 20min running time and 6 keypads to lock each movie.

That is the structure of my DVD, so How can I do the pre and post command to link the end of each to the Root Menu?

    Thank you
    Regards,
    Rocio

    that sounds good!

The think is I don’t know how to script commands in DVDLab Pro.
I am junior editor/DVD author and I am learning that software on my own.

Would you mind to explain it to me?

    Thank you

    🙁
    damn it!

    Thank you anyway

  • Thank you Bill.

First at all, I do apologise because of my English. I am from Spain and my level of English is not very good yet.

As you see I am not very professional in that field yet. I started to learn DVD author few months ago on my own. I got good results but now it is time to improve.

I found very interesting a think that you said : to implement using a spec-authoring app such as Scenarist.
I would like to try that.

Would you mind to explain me a little bit more about that? That is really good I think that it will help me a lot!!

    Thank you

    New doubt!
    What can I do?
I imported a .box component with my keypad. Now I need to open it to change the access code. When I try to open the menu to appear a window: ” Failed to create empty document”.

I don’t understand because with the others Keypads I don’t have any problem.

    Any suggestion?

    Thank you in advance!
