Can anyone answer Yes, or No to this directly?

My test to establish weather or not my HD will work with SD centercut is to…

…drop my 1080p comp inside of 720×534 comp and scale it down to 49.5%. If it’s all good inside there, it’s all good…right?

You mean AE has 4:3 title safe overlay in 16×9 comps? If this is what you mean, I’ve read that the 4:3 overlay is not sized correctly in AE (CS4 is what I am using btw).

Does anyone know how they actually Center-cut HD to SD when they broadcast. Are there two different broadcasts? Or is it done by the Television set which receives the signal?

Thanks very much Brian. That’s awesome. I’ll have a look at the settings. I might have a couple ?s later if that’s ok?

One thing that occurred to me right of the bat, after previewing your project. Say you wanted the ball to actually roll, say you wanted to see a texture rolling as opposed to a solid colored sphere, or mirrored, in which “actual rolling” is irrelevant. How would that be achieved?

I would still be curious to see the MoDynamics solution as well.

    Thanks again!

What I was originally trying to do was just to paste keyframes within an animated track. What I didn’t realize and just discovered is that you can select KF’s in the timeline without selecting the track. Coming from the AE world I never though twice about this. So by making sure the track is selected in the timeline, I am now able to copy and paste KF’s.

    Thank you.

  • Thanks Jason! One detail that’s important is the “Arrayed” object must be a child of the null with-in the Array, and you don’t need to touch the Null at all.

You may have to import the .aec file, instead of opening it.
