Thanks Dan. I will give that a try.

All I would like to do is export a sequence from Avid Xpress dv 3.5.3 I tried QT, Mpeg 2 and DV. The output quality is very poor. What do i need to do to output a high quality sequence? Thank you

My video card is something I will also need to upgrade. I mainly work with Avid so I just picked a basic one off their system requirement list, NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT.

Does the video card help with rendering speed? From what I understand rendering speed is pulled from CPU and RAM?

When I install Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, are there specific guidelines to help the performance of AE, or just the general installation process will do?

    Thank you

I believe these new P2 DVCPro HD like files need to be placed in
Avid MediaFiles\MXF\1 folder or they will not show up in media tool. I created a new set of folders – Avid MediaFiles\MXF\1 on my firewire drive, and they showed up in media tool. When I place them in any other folder they do not show in media tool.

    Thank you,

May 1, 2008 at 12:27 am in reply to: Pan & Zoom- change in black levels

    Hi,
I made adjustments to my import settings and even rescanned the photo into my computer and the problem was still there. However, when I went into pan & zoom, I lowered the Y position from 30 to 20 and when I played it back the photo did not shift in color. I also adjusted the size/zoom factor, on my second/last keyframe from 1.20 to 1. and the change also did not occur. Why would where the photo is positioned on the Y axis and the amount of zoom cause a shift in color?

    Thanks for all your help!!

I brought the pics back into photoshop and made them 72dpi and also resized them to 640×480. The shift in color still happens. Do you have any other suggestions.

    Thanks

No, this computer is not hooked up to scopes. I noticed the change in the color through the output monitor and also in my record monitor in the Avid.

    Thank you
