No, again, I would not recommend doing that. You’ll most likely get a “Duplicate IDs” error anyway and will only be able to open one of the two. Simply let FCP do the managing by copying the needed Event to a new library that you can simply save to Disk B. Simple and completely hassle-free and even with less clicking.

There is no mixer in that sense in X. You can click and scale the audio meter in the dashboard and use the roles to selectively mute each group as needed.

I would suspect that that simply has to do with poor disk I/O, not rendering. Waveforms are rendered (and cached) upon import.

Fully agreed. Extremely rudimentary in comparison, no dropzone support, clearly VERY slow, a mere 3 models max at once, massive convoluted scrolling parameters pane, and… from PFS. The company with “Super Sale Slashed Prices!!” for everything. All the time. *facepalm*

mObjects is most definitely far more worth your money if you need this kind of thing. Especially since the most recent version (as of 2 days ago) is absolutely brilliant and super fast.

Dare I presume you did all this in the Finder? In which case that’s a big no-no. All media management should be done from within FCP X, in which case problems like that don’t arise. So no, it’s not in fact an issue with FCP X. It’s more a PEBCAK. 😉

There is no “Move/Copy Library” command, but you can select “Move/Copy Event” and create a new library for it where you want everything to end up and elect to include proxies. OR you simply consolidate the media INTO or OUT of the original library first before copying, as Jeremy pointed out, and copy in in the Finder then. Both will give you want you are looking for.

Left and right separated. Only I have no idea why those settings would do that, since the exact same settings here do nothing other than play both centered, just as I said and had already tested. And it obviously isn’t working for her that way either. I even just did it again to be sure. Go figure.

Your file shows a single audio track with two channels, each with left/right assignments. No idea how you’re getting that. Mine comes out (as I would expect) with two separate tracks, each with a simple “Mono” assignment. Apparently the same thing she is getting also.

So, I guess for some bizarre reason we were both right.

Oh, and individual mono clips/channels can in fact be panned btw. It’d be very odd if you couldn’t.
