Sorry a bit off topic.. but I have found with this set up.. a tight- ish framed shot.. even with the exposures set right will always look a bit fake.. could just be the unconscious .. everyone has seen the News Room type shot which is most often green screen.. personally I think you need to have one shot framed wide enough to establish your location,as being real.. and sometimes thats the better shot anyway..

sorry if this is obvious .. but based on the strong light situation.. has the LCD brightness setting somehow been set way down.. ? I don’t use this camera but presume it has such a setting..
Sorry if this is the first thing you checked !!

    Hi Laura

Did you chose ex FAT because you are not shooting in FAT.. and the 4GB file size restriction of FAT32 is a problem.. ?

    Hi Ian

There is a box at the bottom of the General tab, which will unlock that one clip that is showing in the preview window.. only other tabs I have are A/V format,Related info,Essence mark.and a few others but nothing about unlocking clips..just this one box at the bottom of General..

Looked at everything in the menu but nothing there either..

If I unclick the cards WP button.. then its as before.. all thumbnails are unlocked.. I’m using 32 GB type 1 (yellow) cards 25p 422 UDF from PMW500,express card slot 17inch MBP 10.7.4

If I were to send off these “locked” clips.. how would that effect the editing side..?

Ive tried this a few times now.. and its happening every time.. some glitch ?

    Thanks

    Thats correct is it not..?

    Thanks

  • Been the topic of much debate..!!

As I was told XDCAM Browser won’t do multiple destinations.. many people think drag and drop is not the most secure way..

If you really need the multiple destinations at the same time I would recommend Shotput pro.. $99 but a small price for peace of mind and convenience ..
