Also download the NBT update, it is the same version but a different build which was released yesterday I believe.

    Here is the link:

I did get some crashes prior to the old version but this new version does seem to help but I still need to test it out further.

It’s a great titler and you can really get creative with it!

I haven’t tried rendering a total 100 hours but it will render anywhere on the timeline.

That has been my workflow for many years. I usually have a second and third Vegas session opened side by side, copying and pasting b-roll from other Vegas projects.

IMO nothing beats Vegas for editing, it is so flexible…

There is a limit on the timecode but as you can see in my work session, I have expanded my timeine to over 100 hours.

You can also grab an event and move it far right till you get your proper timing space and this way you extend your Vegas timeline and the software will remember it even if you delete your event.

I do this on a regular basis when I work on large projects, expanding my timeline and inserting markers and regions and then filling in the timeline with events.

  • Hopefully Vegas will implement this feature on future releases…

    Thanks John

July 16, 2011 at 3:10 pm in reply to: BCC7 Extrude Text in Vegas 10.0e

I have the same problem with the BCC Extruded Text in Vegas 10,
using it with extrusion depth and bevel amount set to 0 and polygon count set to 80, just basic 2D Arial Black text, it ignores the hole in the e.

At size 36, the problem occurs and having the font size set to 48 and the problem is solved.

I need to use the master scale in order to make the text smaller and the letters displqy fine.

    2. simply opening red as plug-in of vegas ( fx ) , do nothing at all in red and click apply -> the effect is too large to save to the host , please save the setting to disk or the setting is lost.

Also installed Red 5.03 demo after uninstalling 5.02 demo and got the same problem as you did. Uninstalled 5.03 and reinstalled 5.02 and things are back to normal.

    Thanks for your help Dirk,

Would definitely appreciate having a demo on this!

I have tried the ATI app where I was able to import my .jpg file, all went fine only I can’t get it to export properly in .dds but was able to get it inside BCC 7.

Below is a frame grab where I managed to get my text looking like glass but I would like to get more reflections off the front, back, bevel and side of the text.

I have used texture files (side, front…) but these are locked to the moving text which is not what I want.
