You can alt-click the audio you want to replace, then right click, multicamera and select the camera whose audio you want to use. That should do it, if I understand your issue correctly.

The noise is there regardless to whether the mic is plugged in or not. Even with just the XLR adapter, the noise is there. The mic was just an SM57. I’m going to be ordering a phantom power supply, but I’d like to find out why I’m getting the noise first, as that may change my plans.
No, I did not discard the other track (I assume you mean, if I recorded on the left channel, discard the right channel?)Thanks,

I plugged in a mic to the HC9 using the mini to dual XLR adapter. One thing I noticed is hiss noise. Nothing I did got rid of it. I can’t believe that the fact that the signal was unbalanced for such a short run would cause the noise. Especially cause the noise was there even when I unplugged the mic cable and only left the XLR adapter plugged in (which is a few inches long). Is it normal for these cameras to have that much noise?

Yeah I stream from Youtube so that I don’t give up hdd space and bandwidth.
I definitely like H.264. Mind you, my videos are not HD either, which will definitely look better, IMO, but I am happy with what I got.
I can send you my settings for the H.264 codec, don’t know if they will work for you, but it would be a start. Let me know. (You can pm me at rcerini at gmail dot com)

I would split the video in Premiere. Then you can encode each half using H.264. You may have to play with the settings in order to shrink it enough and obviously the quality may be affected by it.
