I think you can manually download the CUDA installer from nVidia’s website and that will update it to the latest version.

I don’t think Resolve supports jpeg frames as a sequence, have you tried to convert the sequence into a quicktime file?

I have not tried to run Win-7 on the Asus Mac machine, it is setup and runs very nicely and I am not going to mess with it.
I have an Asus P6T7 WS board with a i7 960 (6core 3.2Ghz) CPU and 12G of ram, a 1200W power supply and 3X eVGA GTX-285 GPU’s in slots 3,5,7 the Decklink HD (I know 4:2:2 only a bit shabby) and a ATTO R680 SAS Raid controller. The boot drive is just a 500G WD 7200rpm disk and there is a USB stick drive that is the booter for the system. The ASUS board’s bios is a custom written one for running OSX that one of the guys on the Aqua-Mac forum wrote. I am running 10.6.8 OSX.
I feel a X79 based Win-7 Resolve system somewhere in the near future…

Supposedly Beta-3 for Windows has the ability to write Pro-Res, that is pretty big.

The Wave and MC-Color will both work on PC and there are more storage controller options for the PC than there are for the mac.

Are you sure the PC version of Resolve writes Pro-Res? As far as the specs on the BMD website go it is Mac OS only.

No shock there at all, really, the Mac-Pro is a piece of junk in a nice case. The power supply is inadequate, the lack of slots and bus bandwidth sucks and the lack of space for drives and decent onboard I/O blows.
I just got a new i7 17″ Thunderbolt MBP but I think that will be the last mac I get. This is exactly why I built a Asus “supercomputer” based OSX workstation for Resolve.
Also Apple is light years behind Win-7 and Linux for GPU amd storage support.
I own a NeXT cube which ran Mathematica but Apple does not care about professional computing anymore.
The only thing left from apple for film/video professionals is Pro-Res and if apple does not move fast to make writing Pro-Res on the PC free it will be overtaken by DNx.

I do not still have those files but I think I got them from Mac Vid Cards anyway and they will support their cards.

I assume it is flashed for mac? What enabler did you use to get the card to run? I had a older Mac-Pro (an early 8-core) that I ran a GTX-285 GT-120 combo in when I first started using Resolve and I know there was some additional steps I had to go through to get the card to run. I can try to dig up those files but they might have gone with the machine when I sold it…
Where did you get the GTX-285?
